Portland is known as "The City of Roses" and that is just what I saw on my very first day. The rose garden is located in Washington Park and is completely free! The day that I visited, the symphony was also playing in the adjacent amphitheater that night for free too! It was a gorgeous day and night and it was relaxing and fun to join the locals in closing out the night surrounded by great music and scenery.
